About the Role
We are looking for a Associate Broker to serve as an integral member of NFP’s Complex Risk Solutions Group (CRSG) with a focus on Management, Cyber & Professional Liability (MCPL) business. With this role, you will open the door to an exciting career path opportunity with NFP. You will be a valued member in the Management & Professional Liability team and their respective clients.

What You’ll Do

• In concert with the AVP you will manage a growing portfolio of Small-Medium Enterprise (SME) financial lines clients
• Work with and support senior brokers in delivering excellent results for larger accounts

• Produce client materials in association with request for proposals and renewals
• Educate clients on current financial lines market conditions
• Liaise and coordinate with producers, client advocates and central broking team in order to deliver subject matter expertise and risk-transfer solutions to clients
• Meet and build relationships with key financial lines markets/insurers

• Assist with client follow-ups and back-up of account management as required
• Actively participate in training initiatives

What You Bring

• Valid RIBO or ability to obtain required licensing within 90 days
• Professional insurance designation would be considered an asset (such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.)
• BA or BCOMM (or equivalent) required
• Existing Canadian insurance underwriting market relationships an asset
• Excellent understanding of financial statements and financial markets
• Highly organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Team player, adaptable to a changing environment and sense of humour
• Ability to perform well in a busy operation with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Sharp attention to detail with excellent decision-making & prioritization skills
• Bilingualism an asset (French).
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology
