The Temiskaming Hospital, located approximately 150 kilometres north of North Bay, is nestled upon the traditional territory of the Algonquin, Anishinaabe and Cree people along the beautiful shores of Lake Temiskaming.Home to a number of provincial parks, lakes and nature trails and rich in culture and history, the area boasts a diverse population of French, English as well as aboriginal cultures and a work-life balance second to none!

TH offers a wide range of acute and post-acute care including emergency and intensive care, medical/surgical care, obstetrical, rehabilitation and complex/transitional care and palliative care services. Through regional partnerships and visiting specialists, TH is able to offer a broad range of outpatient services including dialysis and chemotherapy. In addition to the above, the Hospital offers laboratory, diagnostic imaging and mental health and addictions programs.

Registered Nurse (Experienced Full-time, minimum of 2 years recent experience in ER/SCU) - $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for 5 years return of service.

Registered Nurse (Experienced Part-time, minimum of 2 years recent experience in ER/SCU) - $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for 5 years return of service.

Registered Nurse (Full-time, exclusive of Critical Care) - $10,000 Sign-on Bonus for 5 years return of service

Registered Nurse (Part-time, all departments, exclusive of Critical Care) - $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for 3 years return of service

Rate of Pay: $30.931-$32.973
Hours of Work:
Combination of shifts in duration of 4 hours to 12 hours. Applicant must have availability to work days and evenings, weekdays and weekends.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Secondary School Graduate
- Possess computer and mathematical skills
- Oral proficiency in French at an advanced or superior level required
- Must possess a basic understanding of medical terminology
- Experience in a health care environment will be considered an asset
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a high traffic environment with multiple interruptions
- Must be available to work shift work (days, evenings, nights, weekdays and weekends)
- Must have an excellent work record, including attendance
- Must demonstrate a commitment to ensure personal safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in the organization
- Answers all incoming telephone calls, and pages medical and hospital staff when required
- Arranges for admission of patients to hospital
- Interviews patients to obtain necessary personal and insurance data
- Assigns accommodation
- Compiles and distributes reports of admissions, transfers, discharges
