Childcare Cook Position Available
Maggie’s Early Learning Centre is a vibrant and nurturing environment dedicated to the growth and development of young children. We are seeking a passionate and experienced cook to join our team and help us provide nutritious and delicious meals for our infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in accordance with the Canada Food Guide and City Health Department guidelines.
• Plan and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary needs, allergies, and preferences.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
• Order and manage food supplies efficiently.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure mealtime is a positive experience for all children.

Requirements:

• Minimum of six months experience in preparing nutritious meals for young children in a childcare setting.
• Hardworking, organized, and creative.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player who can also work independently and unsupervised.

Qualifications:

• Food Safe Certificate.
• First Aid/CPR training.
• Negative criminal records check.
• Experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare setting.
• Familiarity with planning and implementing menus around the Canada Food Guide and within City Health Department guidelines.
• Ability to work in a positive and productive manner within a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
