Maggie’s Early Learning Centre is a vibrant and nurturing environment dedicated to the growth and development of young children. We are seeking a passionate and experienced cook to join our team and help us provide nutritious and delicious meals for our infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in accordance with the Canada Food Guide and City Health Department guidelines.
- Plan and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary needs, allergies, and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Order and manage food supplies efficiently.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure mealtime is a positive experience for all children.
- Minimum of six months experience in preparing nutritious meals for young children in a childcare setting.
- Hardworking, organized, and creative.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A team player who can also work independently and unsupervised.
- Food Safe Certificate.
- First Aid/CPR training.
- Negative criminal records check.
- Experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare setting.
- Familiarity with planning and implementing menus around the Canada Food Guide and within City Health Department guidelines.
- Ability to work in a positive and productive manner within a team.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
