We are currently seeking a motivated, highly organized Local Dispatcher that will dispatch and communicate with our local drivers and arrange pick ups and deliveries throughout Edmonton, AB and surrounding area.

As a growing LTL/TL trucking company we are hiring for a full time Local Dispatch position to join our team based out of our Acheson, AB terminal. The successful candidate will be an organized and motivated individual with great people and communication skills, and a team oriented personality. This position requires knowledge and experience within the transportation industry.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily dispatch of 8-10 local drivers
• Planning and arranging daily pickups / deliveries
• Resolving service and delivery issues
• Reviewing dispatch plan constantly to ensure deliveries / pickups are on time
• Entering data / orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Arranging appointments and scheduling loads with customer base

Requirements

• Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office 365, with the ability to learn new software quickly
• Good-time management with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong geographic knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding area
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Full time Monday to Friday day shift
