Reporting to the Foreman, Equipment and Repair, Field Dispatch is responsible for supporting and assisting equipment repairs by dispatching field HD Technicians and Welders for equipment repairs to various work sites. Working closely with Foreman, Equipment, and Repair and field operations, the Field Dispatch will make sure all repairs and services are coordinated in the field and completed in a timely and professional manner.
General Responsibilities:

• Assist in and/or develop preliminary repair schedules for equipment repair.
• Supervise HD Technicians in the field and manage scheduling, working records, and files on repairs completed in the field.
• Assist in repair, construction, maintenance, or other tasks involved in work orders.
• Act as the liaison between Field Operations and Equipment Repair.
• Coordinate field servicing of machines.
• Ensure all repair deadlines are met.
• Inspect, collect, and document hours of field equipment.
• Apply information from technical manuals, diagrams, and schemes for work procedures.
• Assist in ordering supplies and parts when needed.
• Promote and ensure work environments are clean, organized, and free of hazardous material.
• Other duties may arise on the job.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician is an asset.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Class 5 operator’s license if required.
• Knowledge of several types of heavy construction equipment and machinery is necessary.
• Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Vista by Viewpoint and D365 is an asset.
