Field Service Technician

NEXT Compression, a young, dynamic company providing Parts and Service for the Natural Gas Compression Industry is seeking a Journeyman Field Service Technician to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of gas compression, Power Generation equipment. This is a full-time, permanent position. Candidates with 5 years’ relevant experience are preferred but a combination of education and experience will be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Technical Proficiency: Mastery of gas compression systems, including knowledge of machinery, components, and operations. Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment efficiently and effectively.
· Safety Awareness: Prioritizing safety in all aspects of work, adhering to industry regulations, and implementing best practices to minimize risks in a potentially hazardous environment. Proactively identifying and addressing safety concerns.
· Problem-Solving Skills: Aptitude for diagnosing issues with gas compression systems, analyzing complex problems, and devising innovative solutions. Ability to work under pressure to resolve technical challenges promptly.
· Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Ability to convey technical information, provide updates on work progress, and collaborate efficiently to achieve project objectives.
· Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients by addressing their needs promptly and professionally. Building positive relationships with customers and ensuring satisfaction with the quality of work and support provided.
· Adaptability: Flexibility to work in diverse settings, including remote locations and varying weather conditions. Capacity to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and work environments while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
· Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with advancements in gas compression technology, industry standards, and safety regulations. Actively seeking opportunities for professional development and expanding technical knowledge and skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience with Natural Gas Rotating Equipment is a requirement.
· Journeyman, or 3rd year Registered Apprentice (with relevant experience).
· Must value the customer as a partner in business.
· Must be able to work alone or as part of a team.
