Job Overview:
We are seeking a GIS Analyst with pre-existing skills with Arc GIS Online, Field Maps and Survey123. This role is ideal for those with a keen interest in technology and a high drive for learning. The role is heavily based in ESRI Online solutions, however other GIS skills in the areas of data management, geospatial analyses, and cartography are also an asset for other projects.
This is an ongoing/permanent contractor based role structured as an as-and-when contract.

Core Duties:

• Set up Field Maps for existing clients
• Set up Survey123 for existing clients
• Set up and manage Arc GIS Online organizations and online assets including web maps, surveys, applications etc.
• Manage data licensing and metadata documentation for data use and sharing agreements.
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of geospatial datasets
• Conducting geospatial data analysis

Additional Responsibilities:

• Depending on your skills and interests, you may also get involved in:
• Python based data automation
• MS Power Automate flows
• Hard copy cartographic products

Skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrated skills with Survey123, Field Maps and Arc GIS Online Solutions
• Demonstrable skills in data management, analysis, and cartography is an asset.
• An aptitude for learning and utilizing applications (e.g., Arc Map, Arc Pro, QGIS, Postgre SQL/Post GIS, Geo Server, Leaflet)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Excellent self management skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Comfortable working independently and in a diverse computing environment
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage details
• Previous experience in a design based career is an asset
• Familiarity with command line tools (e.g., ogr2ogr, python) and scripting languages is is an asset
• Previous experience with Git Hub/Git Lab and open source GIS tools is an asset

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 year work experience in GIS or proven experience with Field Maps and Survey123 setup.
• Diploma, Degree or Certificate in GIS from a technical collage or equivalent proven technical experience.

• Remote work setting; candidates must have their own computer hardware and internet connection
