Uplifter Inc,

Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy Lead (Remote): Project/Part-time/Full-time

Oakville

FULL TIME

October 10, 2024

Overview:

Are you looking for a flexible project that offers valuable experience and the opportunity for
a full-time career? Uplifter is expanding its market presence into new sports with large,
organized memberships, and we’re searching for a GTM Strategy Lead to help make it
happen. In this role, you’ll work on developing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy
through phases of market research, competitor analysis, and audience segmentation.
You’ll refine value propositions, craft pricing models, and design targeted marketing
strategies while building strong relationships with clubs and federations across various
sports. This offers a great opportunity for individuals with a passion for sports and market
expansion, especially in the Saa S space. Join us and be part of our growth journey!

Phase 1: Market Analysis and Assessment
1.1 Conduct Market Research:
  • Identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities within the target sport’s NSO
(National Sport Organization), PSO/RSO (Provincial or Regional Sport Organization),
and club structures.
  • Analyze the competitor landscape, including market positioning, pricing strategies,
and customer acquisition tactics across various sports with large memberships,
such as soccer, swimming, gymnastics, or hockey.
1.2 Define Target Audience:
  • Segment the target audience based on demographics, sport type, membership size,
and purchasing behavior, focusing on clubs, teams, recreational leagues, and
competitive programs.
  • Prioritize target segments based on growth potential, existing membership sizes,
and alignment with Uplifter's product offerings, such as event registration, payment
processing, and membership management.
1.3 Assess Regulatory Environment:
  • Identify regulatory requirements and compliance standards for Saa S companies
operating within various sports in Canada and the USA.
  • Evaluate potential legal and regulatory barriers to market entry, including any
specific compliance required for different sports organizations (e.g., child
protection policies, athlete registration standards, or financial reporting).
1.4 Assess Federation Relationship Management:
  • Review existing and potential new relationships with federations at the NSO and
PSO/RSO levels across multiple sports.
  • Identify key contacts to initiate and manage relationships with federation and club
administrators to support membership management and event coordination.

Phase 2: Strategy Development and Implementation
2.1 Define Value Proposition:
  • Refine and articulate the company’s value proposition for sports clubs and
federations, highlighting unique selling points such as streamlined membership
management, event organization, and secure payment solutions tailored to the
needs of large, organized sports communities.
2.2 Develop Pricing and Product Strategies:
  • Determine optimal pricing models for Saa S products and services tailored to
different sports organizations, considering tiered pricing based on membership
size, event frequency, or specific sport needs.
  • Identify critical gaps in Uplifter's existing product offering necessary for market
entry into large sports organizations, such as additional functionality for scheduling,
team management, or live event tracking.
2.3 Design Marketing and Sales Channels:
  • Select appropriate marketing channels to effectively reach different sports
communities, such as targeted digital marketing, social media, partnerships with
sports associations, and participation in industry conferences and events.
  • Develop sales strategies and distribution channels to drive customer acquisition in
various sports, focusing on both recreational and competitive organizations that
have high membership turnover or frequent events.
2.4 Create Go-To-Market Plan:
  • Outline specific tactics and activities to launch Uplifter into large sports markets,
including targeted campaigns at major sport events, promotional offers, and lead
generation initiatives through partnerships with sport federations and organizations.
  • Identify critical gaps within the organization that may arise during expansion into
new sports markets, ensuring support for the unique needs of various sports.
2.5 Initiate Federation Relationship Management:
  • Assist in initiating and maintaining contact with key stakeholders within sports
federations and clubs to establish partnerships that align with Uplifter’s expansion
goals.

Phase 3: Monitoring and Optimization
3.1 Implement Tracking and Analytics:
  • Review current performance metrics and KPIs, adjusting them to reflect the unique
characteristics of each sport’s customer acquisition and retention patterns.
  • Implement tracking systems and analytics tools to monitor key metrics, such as
membership growth, event participation, and customer satisfaction across various
sports.
3.2 Continuous Optimization:
  • Regularly analyze performance data from sports organizations to identify trends and
opportunities for improvement.
  • Adjust the GTM strategy based on feedback from sports clubs and federations,
changes in market dynamics, and shifts in the competitive landscape.

Deliverables:
  • Comprehensive GTM strategy document outlining key insights and
recommendations for expanding into sports with large organized memberships.
  • Detailed implementation plan with actionable steps, timelines, and resource
requirements for Uplifter’s multi-sport expansion.
  • Regular progress reports and updates throughout the project’s duration.
  • Final presentation summarizing the GTM strategy and future recommendations for
continued growth across various sports markets.

Project Timeline:
  • Phase 1: Market Analysis and Assessment (~4 weeks)
  • Phase 2: Strategy Development and Implementation (~4 weeks)
  • Phase 3: Monitoring and Optimization (~2 weeks)
Project Team:
  • Members of Uplifter as required.

Additional Terms:
  • Equipment, tools, or materials provided by the Company: None.
  • Expenses paid by Company: Any expenses directly related to the performance of
services by the Contractor, pre-approved by the Company in writing. Payment of
