We are in search of a PC Technician to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. This role is within the IT industry and offers a long term contract employment opportunity. The PC Technician will be an integral part of our team, focusing on a deployment project involving tablets and laptops. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Configure pre-installed tablets and laptops, ideally with knowledge of Microsoft Intune
• Migrate user data from old devices to the new laptops
• Install new software to ensure the systems are operational and fulfill user requirements
• Conduct quality checks along with installations and migrations
• Identify minor issues during the deployment process and escalate when necessary
• Provide basic guidance and support to users regarding their new devices
• Handle repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail
• Demonstrate strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and on-site throughout the project duration
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a PC Technician role or similar field.
• Proficient in Application Deployments.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Show excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Hold relevant certifications such as Comp TIA A+ or equivalent.
• Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and clients.
• Display a keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Prove a track record of maintaining and improving IT systems.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Show willingness to stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and computing.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Display good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Exhibit strong customer service skills to assist clients with technical issues.
• Must be comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting and transporting heavy equipment.
