Sun Glow is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Mechanic Engineer to join our team. This internship provides a valuable opportunity for aspiring Mechanic Engineers to gain practical experience and develop their skills in a professional setting.
As a Mechanical Engineering at Sun Glow, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, collaborating closely with experienced professionals and contributing to diverse engineering projects. This job provides a hands-on learning experience in mechanical design, exposure to practical engineering challenges, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the success of our organization.
Location: 50 Hollinger Road Toronto, ON. M4B 3G5 (on-site)
Shift: 8.30am to 5.00pm (Monday to Friday)
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop manual and computer-assisted design (CAD) concepts, sketches, or models for approval by Senior Industrial Designer.
• Assist Research department in Preparing detail drawings to ensure product performance and cost-effective manufacturability.
• Participate on the completion of Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) projects.
• Test new prototypes in field environments using shop equipment and engineering practices.
• Conduct and generate engineering reports to support product performance. Overseen by Senior Industrial Designer.
• Assist with design reviews to ensure compliance of design guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper filing systems as per instruction to ensure all information stored electronically/physically is properly stored and easily retrieved.
• Maintain and increase product’s technical knowledge and capability to insure leadership in product field.
• Provide customers with state-of-the-art product support if required.
• Other tasks to be assigned by Senior Industrial Designer.

Skills Required:

• Working towards Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education.
• Ability to design in 2D and 3D CAD software’s. Autodesk Auto CAD, and Inventor Professional would be an asset.
• Knowledge of mechanical techniques and processes used in CAD design and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of 3D printing techniques or working in machine shop would be an asset.
• Awareness of concurrent and simultaneous engineering techniques
• Proficient in MS Office programs.
