We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support in a family practice/walk in medical office setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care.
Duties
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the front desk activities
- Maintain electronic medical records accurately
- Handle phone calls, inquiries, and patient follow-ups
- Assist with OHIP verification and billing tasks
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the office staff
Skills
- Proficiency in using ACCURO EMR
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience in front desk operations within a dental or medical office setting
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling patient inquiries efficiently
