Medical Receptionist

Kelly is now hiring! Our client located in Ajax, ON is hiring a Medical Receptionist. As the Medical Receptionist you will play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of a healthcare facility by serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This is a contract role set at 6 weeks with the possibility to extend and or become permanent.
Duties: - Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner - Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical records system - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member - Collect patient information and update electronic medical records - Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications: - Previous experience in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred - Proficient in using electronic medical records systems - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus - Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations

Pay: $18.99-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
