Acquafarina is a Michelin Guide fine dining establishment in the heart of downtown nestled on West Georgia Street that specializes in modern Italian cuisine made from scratch! Specialized cocktails, all-season outdoor dining, and private dining offer an exquisite culinary experience. We are currently seeking a Morning Pastry Chef to join our back of the house Team!
Responsibilities

• Food preparation and presentation, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Guest service remains a priority, and issues are dealt with in a professional a timely manner.
• Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts following recipes and quality standards
• Decorate pastries using various techniques to ensure an appealing presentation
• Effectively communicate to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef for smooth operations.
• Ensure Health and safety guidelines and quality control are followed according to sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas.

Requirements

• 2+ years of previous experience in a similar environment
• Proven experience working as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within the food industry
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Food Safety Certification
• Must be available evening, weekends, and holidays.

· Experience in Italian and Spanish cuisine is an asset but not necessary.
Job Type: Full-time/ Part time
Salary: $21-22/hour, plus tips
