The Program & Implementation Lead works in collaboration with the respective department lead(s) to evaluate existing
operational practices, to review and identify best practices, and to make improvement recommendations. The
incumbent shall lead project planning and will work closely with department leads on the corresponding
implementation, monitoring and evaluation to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The Program & Implementation
Lead will work closely with their specific departments and the Planning & Performance Oversight portfolio to ensure
planning and implementation aligns with the strategic priorities of the Northern Health Region (NHR).

This position requires provision of service and travel to outlying communities.

The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry check, and
Adult Abuse Registry check and adhere to all Northern Health Region policies and procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-Secondary Degree in Health Care and/or Business (combination of education and experience related to the

position may be considered)

• Certifications relating to leadership, Lean Six Sigma, change management an asset

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification an asset

• Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel

• Two (2) years’ experience working in the health care field

• Two (2) years’ experience in project management or related experience

• Experience with change management

• Knowledge of evidence informed best practices and clinical care standards

• Knowledge of patient safety and Accreditation Canada Standards

• Thorough knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and Internet

• Knowledge of project management software

• Satisfactory employment record required

• Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
