JOB SUMMARY

The Proposal Writer at Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) is a key role responsible for supporting various organizational activities and subsidiaries.

Reporting to the Director of Government Affairs, this position is crucial for securing funding for IRC and its Community Corporations. The role involves developing and maintaining an efficient system for identifying funding opportunities, writing winning proposals, establishing strategic collaborations with funders, and writing and preparing accurate and aligned proposals. The Proposal Writer is also responsible for providing quarterly reports, coordinating timelines and meetings, and managing communications with internal stakeholders and funders.

The ideal candidate should be dedicated, passionate about the North, and committed to exploring untapped opportunities in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be/have:

• Degree in Business, Commerce, or Fine Arts.
• Minimum of three years progressively responsible work experience in a similar role.
• Exceptional communication skills, including excellent formal writing skills.
• Experience and success in writing significant funding proposals.
• Ability to work collaboratively with directors to assess funding opportunities.
• Familiarity with government entities and government projects is an asset.
• Ability to travel to remote communities within the Inuvialuit Settlement Region, as required.
