The ADHD & Relationship Centre (ARC) is a mental health service provider dedicated to enhancing the quality of relationships for neurodivergent folks. We value caring, connective relationships and employ a warm, authentic, and strengths-based approach to foster development within our team and with our clients.
We are seeking an independent contractor specializing in supporting neurodivergent individuals with a variety of issues. We particularly encourage applications from neurodivergent individuals with lived experience.
We are particularly interested in hiring candidates with experience supporting people with trauma, and / or sex therapy and couples work. Applicants with training in modalities such as IFS, EMDR and DBT will be prioritized in the hiring process.
All services are currently provided online, making this an ideal opportunity for practitioners across Canada. Please ensure your regulatory body allows you to work with clients primarily based in British Columbia, and preference will be given to applicants with RCC, CCC, or RSW designations. The successful candidate should be able to meet the requirement of offering a minimum of 15 client hours each week. We offer flexible scheduling (with a preference for candidates who can provide some evening and/or weekend availability).
The position offers comprehensive training and ongoing supervisory support, as well as the opportunity for personal development and growth as a practicing counsellor.

The successful candidate has the following or equivalent

• A Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Social Work
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting couples with sex therapy and relationship skills training (experience supporting queer couples or folks with alternative relationships is also encouraged)
• Preferably can offer virtual services with some evening and weekend availability
• Demonstrate excellent professional boundaries and ethical compliance with professional codes of conduct
• Pursue ongoing professional development and supervision as necessary
• Demonstrate compassion, warmth, authenticity, integrity, drive and work ethic, thriving in both team and individual work environments
• Motivated to grow and maintain a practice
• Capable of working independently as a contractor; to schedule counselling sessions, invoice, and collect client payments for counselling sessions
• Complete client session notes and additional reports in a timely manner
• Access to a professional, tidy, and confidential / secure workspace for virtual client meetings
