Senior Business Solution Specialist, Capital Credit Risk

The Team
We are part of Global Finance and Risk Technology (GFRT) IT group providing Technology and support services to business users in Finance and Risk business lines on Regulatory Initiatives and data centric applications that demands high quality work in rolling out new creative solutions and enhancements to the existing solutions both with the speed, quality, and production stability.

The Role
If you are passionate about technology, data, and automation with futuristic view, we are looking for talented Lead Product Specialist, as a SME who understands the credit and retail risk space and OSFI regulations to support the Capital and Business Line Reporting to contribute to a wide variety of initiatives.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Interface with a diverse customer base to understand requirements, priorities, and processes and work on various initiatives and support the business strategies to help modernize and enhance the Bank’s Capital Reporting capabilities.
Aligning delivered solutions to strategic technical and capability roadmaps and identifying new shared capabilities and business opportunities.
Active collaboration with Business stakeholders in facilitating functional, data flow and solution design discussions.
Elicit, define, assess and document detailed business and system design requirements (functional, operational, transitional, information & non-functional) for new systems & systems enhancements and identify any gaps within current capability.
Performs analysis and evaluation of options, alternatives, and system capabilities.
Provide strong subject matter expertise across multiple functional areas and across functional process flows or functional and cross functional teams.
Understand complex system integrations including source and target systems and how they relate to each other and perform data analysis.
Assist with managing projects and coordinate work with Project Teams and provide post rollout support for system enhancements.
Ability to handle multiple projects and activities in a timely, organized manner.
Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs.
Ability to facilitate meetings and action plans.
Guide development team on requirements, and design to help build reusable components and scalable solutions.
Demonstrate effective leadership skills, including the ability to assume end-to-end ownership of a project and responsibility for the related project deliverables.
Effective time management and organization skills with the ability to use diplomacy, judgment, and persuasion to secure agreement and cooperation.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

8+ years of IT and Risk Management working experience in (governance, operations, audit, control functions, compliance, and risk management), for enterprise-level technology solutions.
7+ years Proficiency in Business Analysis procedures and requirements, as well as technical analysis and design requirements. Highly experienced in writing business requirements for system development
6+ years experience in Risk Management and Finance space having a strong domain expertise and excellent business knowledge of Capital, Credit Risk is required.
4+ years Experience in data analysis and data modeling (Conceptual and/or Logical and/or Physical) and the ability to grasp a customized repository (as defined by a relational or dimensional database) approach and Reporting background to help drive solutions / results.
Strong SQL knowledge and skilled and experienced in working with relational database structures MS SQL Server
Creative problem solver, flexible, proactive and able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.

Nice To Have Skills:

2+ years working on Python, R, Collibra
Experience with Use cases, UML, Rational Rose, Requisite Pro.
Strong working experience with JIRA/Confluence.
3+ years experience with vendor tool Axiom Controller View Tool
Experience working in a project environment and SDLC methodologies
Experience within a large, complex, global organization would be considered an asset.
