How will you make an impact in this role?
Reporting to the Director, Product Delivery & Integration within ICRST, within the Regional Services Technology team in Canada, the Senior Engineer II, leverages deep Software product

development knowledge to lead the design and development of complex software systems, drive the delivery of value -add initiatives for the Canada ICS business, driving innovation and efficiency and promoting best practices in software development such as code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing and optimizing software solutions that support our mission to provide exceptional products and services. You will be part of an agile team that will require collaborating with other engineers, work closely with cross functional teams to deliver high quality, scalable software, understand the requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

The successful incumbent translates business objectives into broader technical journey planning and execution for both ICS and the impacted platforms and COE’s across programs. They will be key in helping develop multi-year feature, epic, journey level capability plans, roadmaps, strategies, delivery plans and programs of work. They will anticipate, track, and resolves risks, dependencies, and overall impediments to delivery, while working very closely with business,

COE, technical/platform, and framework teams across the franchise, representing Technology as part of the Technology leadership in Canada.
Focus: Leads the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, deployment, documentation, reliability, and availability of software and systems that meet the needs of customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end-user tools and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Development
  • Perform technical aspects of software development.
  • Function as a leader on a software engineering team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation).
  • Lead code reviews and automated testing.
  • Debug software components and identify code defects for remediation.
  • Leads the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments.
  • Automate deployments in test or production environments.
  • Automatically scale applications based on demand projections.
  • Adhere to security and regulatory best practices Leadership.

  • Leads and mentors teams of engineers through ongoing development efforts.

Education & Experience:
5+ years of software development experience in a professional environment such as:
  • Wide breath of engineering experience.
  • Proven experience leading teams of engineers.
  • Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing.
  • Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required, advanced degree preferred.
