Are you analytical with exceptional attention to detail?

We are looking for a data driven and strategic SRED Analyst for Head Office to be based out of our Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton or Toronto branch. This role will process, submit, complete, and report on Canadian and US Governments’ Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Tax Incentive Program! In addition, the role assists with Business Excellence (BE) projects, as assigned and looks for continuous improvement and automation initiatives are at the foreground of the work done.

A Day in the Life:

Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SRED):

> Create and follow governance and processes for both Canada and USA
> Assist with conducting SRED interviews with technical consultants across Canada and USA
> Work with contracted vendors to produce SRED eligible projects for claiming within each tax year
> Process, track, submit, and follow up on required government requirements
> Maintain the monthly schedule for yearly SRED requirements set out by the CRA for Canadian tax credit program(s)
> Maintain and create new process flows and reports within Microsoft Flows, Share Point and Power BI tool sets
> Review timesheet data, collect applicable data/documentation from Long View Consultants, report on eligibility for the Canadian SR&ED tax credit

Business Excellence (BE):

> Perform need analysis, analyze business and technical requirements and provide recommendations for business modifications and solutions to ensure Business Excellence
> Work with technical teams to turn business requirements into solution designs and implementation plans
> Develop test plans for automation initiatives
> Create detailed documentation, governance plans, training material and organizational adoption plans
> Manage stakeholder relationships throughout projects

What You Bring:

3+ years of experience working at Long View
2+ years' experience with data management and/or business analysis experience
Capacity to understand different technologies and interview techniques required to draw out relevant information from technical resources
Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and an analytical mindset
A self-driven attitude
Interest in leading educational initiatives around the SRED and BE

Knowledge of preparing and supporting SRED claims
Current with SR&ED legislation and application policies
Microsoft Share Point or Power Platform skills
AI, Coding and Power App knowledge

Expected Salary Range is $55,000 - $65,000 plus variable incentive.
