Superintendent - Projects & Maintenance Engineering

- Promote IRS and ensure health, safety, environment and community (HSEC) objectives for Kidd Operations’ employees and contractors are met;
- Coach, mentor, develop and set expectations for technical team in areas of safety, productivity, quality of work, conduct and customer satisfaction;
- Coordinate planning and scheduling activities with production and ensure adherence to the agreed upon schedule in order to optimize resources and minimize nonvalue added work.;
- Follow up with superintendents, technical team, supervisors, planners regarding status update on progress, next steps and revised project timelines. Identify challenges or opportunities to improve job execution;
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to preventative, predictive and condition-based maintenance programs through continual review, data analysis, and optimization of intervention activities;
- Ensure equipment reliability and up-time is achieved through effective troubleshooting, determination of root cause, failure analysis review and modification of maintenance systems to address as required;
- Work with projects team to deliver on larger capital installations or repairs; and
- Monitor project spend to conform to expected budgetary levels.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in underground maintenance environment
- A degree in Engineering /Technologist/Technician diploma or extensive maintenance experience
- Proven history of successfully implementing business improvement initiatives
- Team player with expert leadership, comprehensive interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with subordinates, peers, operations, engineering, procurement and suppliers
- Strong organizational and computer skills along with experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Microsoft Office (email, word processing, spreadsheets, planning & scheduling)
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm
