The Budtender role is the most important position in this company. Budtenders at Peaceleaf stores are responsible for ensuring a great customer experience with every customer, every time. Budtenders are high energy, fun, with a strong passion for Cannabis.
The Team Manager role is also an extremely important role. The manager is responsible for managing all the day-to-day operations of the store and is responsible for the overall profitability of the store by driving efficient operational excellence and industry leading customer experiences. Peaceleaf is looking for an individual who always want to better themselves through continued education and training in the exciting cannabis industry.

Peaceleaf is a privately owned recreational cannabis retail company with headquarters located in Grande Prairie. All our current stores operate as CANNABIS 4 LESS. We are a small business that cares about our small team and the communities we operate in.
Opportunity:
This Team Manager role is a vital role in our company. We are looking for friendly, outgoing, and positive customer service driven staff. As mentioned above, the manager is responsible for managing all the day-to-day operations of the store and is responsible for the overall profitability of the store by driving efficient operational excellence and industry leading customer experiences.
Rate of Pay and Work Schedule:
This position has a starting wage of $18-20 depending on experience, with a wage review after 3 and 12 months from start date. The Manager is expected to work 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday. Manager meetings are hosted virtually every Saturday where the President and every store manager get together to share their weekly order, big wins, product trends, conversations with LP vendors, customer requests, and more! Managers also have a 1 on 1 weekly meeting with the VP of Operations (and sometimes the President) of the company which allows the manager to communicate their store specific questions, concerns, suggestions, and more to the executive team. Team managers typically work the daytime shift; however, for fairness, training opportunities with evening staff, etc we expect managers to work evening shifts periodically.
Workplace Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership at all levels of the organization
- Motivate Budtenders by devising strategies designed to grow the store sales
- Responsible and accountable for maintaining Federal, Provincial and Municipal compliance
- Communicate and implement company vision and values including operational rules, policies, and procedures
- Train, manage and supervise team
- Oversee and maintain inventory control
- Create weekly cannabis product orders and accessory orders as needed
- Manage, supervise and direct the activities of all assigned staff including scheduling, evaluating, hiring, disciplining, terminating, and advancing of employees
- Maintain accurate records of all retail store activities including cash reconciliations, customer records, sales, returns, and more.
- Facilitate all transactions and operations of the Point of Sales system
- Develop goals for sales, service and profit and lead staff to exceed these goals
- Ensure safety for staff and customers
- Maintain in depth knowledge of all strains and products in store inventory as well as industry-wide product and trend knowledge
- Review employee performance regularly (monthly) and maintain employee records (Managed digitally through sharepoint)
- More duties may arise as needed
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a minimum of 2 – 4 years retail management experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer facing sales setting
- AGLC Qualified Cannabis Worker Certification (QCW Permit)
- Comfortable with computers and tablets
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to motivate others

- High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
- Flexible availability (includes evening and weekends)
- Passion for cannabis
- Minimum 18 years of age
