Technical Assistant Coach - Activo I&R (TAC)

Activo now has an exciting new opportunity in the business of Mass Market Installation & Repair in the greater Vancouver area/ in the island/ BC north.
We are looking for a Senior I&R technician with a real passion for technology to join our dynamic team, overseeing a group of technicians, driving performance excellence, and enhancing the team's skill set through ongoing training and mentorship.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day guidance and leadership to a team of technicians, ensuring high performance, productivity, and adherence to company standards.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve individual and team performance through regular reviews, coaching and feedback.
• Identify skills gaps and coordinate technical training programs to ensure all technicians are up-to-date on best practices and technologies.
• Assist in optimizing workflows, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions that enhance operational excellence.
• Work closely with management to align team goals with overall company objectives, while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and support continuous improvement in the workplace's health and safety practices.
• Be highly adaptable to constantly change technologies, methods, and procedures
• Attend crew meetings and help discuss SLA metrics monthly
• May also be used as a TAC for the dispatch team.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a technical leadership or coaching role
• Strong technical Installation and Repair knowledge within telecommunications
• Excellent communication, coaching and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with performance management processes and training program development
• Ability to lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team
• Health and safety compliance knowledge is an asset

Education, Certifications & Experience:

• Previous experience and/or education in telecommunications
• Clean and valid Class 5 Driver's License or another provincial equivalent, a driver’s abstract will be needed
• High School diploma or GED
• Proven record of customer service and I&R experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
