Job Description
Reporting to Chief Revenue Officer.
We see a large interest in our sector from firms based in APAC, and are looking to hire our first Business Development Manager
in the region to capitalise on this interest. As our BDM based in Shanghai, you will drive sales of Neudata’s data research a nd
data management products across China and the APAC region, focusing primarily on asset managers, hedge funds, and other
investors. This is an exceptional opportunity for a sales professional with experience in selling to investment firms in Asia to join
our team in Shanghai and contribute to Neudata’s expansion in one of the most dynamic investment regions globally.
Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation: Generate new leads and effectively leverage leads from Neudata’s content marketing and events
programme.
  • Client Development: Lead client pitches and presentations tailored to APAC investment clients. Represent Neudata at
internal and external events.
  • Pipeline Management: Develop and close sales opportunities from lead generation through to trial and close, ensuring
a steady progression through the pipeline.
  • APAC Representation: Serve as Neudata’s primary contact for investment clients in China and the wider APAC region,
fostering relationships and adapting to local market needs. Communicate any local requirements back to Neudata HQ.
Who we are looking for
  • Experience: 3–5 years in sales, with a background in selling data, research or software to the financial services market.
  • Existing Network: an existing network of buy-side firms that you have sold to in China and the wider APAC region.
  • Track Record: Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, with experience in consultative selling, relationship
management, and negotiation.
  • Market Knowledge: Understanding of APAC asset management, investment strategies, and local market dynamics;
familiarity with data needs of portfolio managers, CIOs, or heads of data science.
  • Education: Degree in Business, Economics, or a related field preferred; CAIA or CFA qualifications are advantageous.
  • Language: Proficiency in Mandarin and English is essential to succeed in this role.
