Director, North Region

Are you an energetic and customer-centric person with strong aspiration who wants to move Valmet customers ‘performance forward? We are seeking a person who could lead our North China sales team to provide competitive solution to our customers, drive our customers’ performance forward and achieve profitable growth.
In this position, as a member of China Area management team, you will report to China Area President.
Position: Director, North Region
In this role, you will
- Develop and implement annual sales and market plan in responsible region.
- Oversee daily sales management to achieve regional order target and other financial targets.
- Help customers to identify their needs and provide suitable and value-added solutions.
- Work together with business units to strengthen and develop customer relationship.
- Coordinate all service and capital business related activities in responsible region.
- Collect and analyze market, customer and competitor information.
- Recruit, train, manage and develop sales team.
- Act as key account manager for certain customers at corporation level.
To be successful in this role, we expected you with
- At least 8-10 years of experience in sales position with strong technical background and solid understanding of pulp and paper machine equipment and applications.
- At least 3 years in leading sales or technical team.
- Experience of working in a matrix organization of multi-national company.
- Ability to confidently prepare and present solution proposals to corporate executives and managers at all levels.
- Ability to work across business functions with strong consensus building skills to move strategy forward.
- Self-motivated and passionate about work and dedicated to continuous improvement and growth.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in both Chinese and English.
- High degree of integrity.
- Willingness to travel.
