Horizons is representing our client to find a NPI Lead Engineer based in Nanjing to supervise the China Product Team.
Our client is a Unicorn company from UK, their product evolving how humanity does laundry by reinventing traditional machines and breaking down the high barriers that alienate billions from home laundry access.



Essential skills:

• Excellent communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and English (fluent and technical english)
  
• An engineering or technical background, with at least 10-15 years experience in product development and delivery of high volumes
  
• Recent experience in the laundry industry, preferbly with top loading machines.
  
• Project management skills
  
• A clear perspective of project strategy, mitigation planning and multi tasking,
  for smooth execution of product delivery
  
• Presentation skills, to communicate complex technical concepts across
  departments and continents
  
• Management skills, to not only manage a team in China but to nurture and
  respectfully maintain relationships with our manufacturing partner and key
  strategic sub suppliers
  
• Initiative, organisation, drive and motivation to operate effectively and solve
  problems confidently
  
• Team spirit, respect and collaborative working
  
• Dedication to be on-site, as the project requires
  Preferred:
  

• Strong grasp of managing project and product budgeting
  
• Experience to suggest, manage and execute cost down initiatives
  
• Career experience in mechanical or design engineering
  
• Clear and recent understanding of testing requirements
  
• Experience with products for American market
  
• Experience of product release for international variants
