As a Senior Logistics Procurement Manager, you will define and implement strategies for logistics including land, ocean and air, warehousing and 3 party forwarder service providers across Asia Pacific by administering bidding and contracting that meet operational and functional business goals. Identifying opportunities for Asia Pacific transportation and warehouse footprint consolidation, efficiency gains, cost reductions, etc. within China and the rest of Asia Pacific. Identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce the complexity of how PPG Asia Pacific manages its logistics lanes on both inbound (where applicable) and outbound. You will report to Procurement Director.
Key Responsibilities

• Research & implement innovative processes and systems to reduce costs & improve efficiencies
  
• Contract management and negotiation to secure the most advantageous terms through RFPs, bidding, vendor sourcing, etc
  
• Contributes to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the local supplier base
  
• Ensure 3 party logistics and freight suppliers operate their facilities and vehicles in accordance with regulatory requirements and PPG requirements. Implement and maintain the PSIT program in accordnace with PPG requirements.
  
• Manage the day to day relationships with external providers and internal stakeholders
  
• Gather local market logistics data, interpret trends and identify opportunities to maximize acquisition value
  
• Align with the other non-Asia Pacific regional leads to support best-practice sharing and identification and execution of global activities.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
  
• Understanding of the Procurement processes around Transportation & Warehouses. Experience with DG
  
• Fluent in English both spoken and written.
  
• At least 10 years’ experience in Logistics or Procurement leadership positions
  
• Demonstrated influencing and conflict management skills
