Overview of the Job:

Work with the GC sports marketing team, GC Nike/Jordan Brand, Basketball FOP & Global Sports marketing team as a good team player. Actively ensuring contractual right fulfillment & management of all aspects of the CHBL partnership, provide service to Nike and/or Jordan brand sponsored athletes and other assets to create brand and business impact.

Job Responsibility:

• Will work as the CHBL Program Lead from Sports Marketing, managing all CHBL related aspects with systematic and comprehensive management skills set under the direction of the Sports Marketing category leader, focusing on all the CHBL contractual rights fulfillment, maintaining great relationships with the China School Sports Federation and coordinating all the internal & external stakeholders.
• Will be assigned to service multiple Nike and Jordan athletes/assets in basketball industry to make sure quality of service, sponsorship exposure/ROI; travel to domestic and international sports competitions to ensure sponsorship rights delivery and assets service.
• Have good understanding of integrated marketing and be able to work with GC SM brand experience team, Nike/Jordan brand marketing and the GC basketball FOP teams to leverage sponsored athletes and assets through various marketing efforts for bigger brand and business impact and success.
• Use own knowledge to monitor and track young talents/players, create systematic scouting reports for Nike/Jordan brand.
• Under the guidance of reporting manager, maintain proper balance in athlete signing and servicing strategy between Nike athletes and Jordan athletes, ensure max RIO for both.
• Use own knowledge to monitor and track young talents/players, create systematic scouting reports for Nike/Jordan brand.
• Carry out negotiation, contract drafting and signing for potential basketball young guns and athletes.
• Networking in Sports Marketing industry and build strong relationship with athletes, coaches, teams and important industry relationships especially with the China School Sports Federation to better serve Nike/Jordan's business interests.
• Work with GC Sports Marketing operation team to ensure smooth operation and product management for both CHBL, athletes and other Nike/Jordan assets.
• Gathering marketing intelligence and creating competitive analysis.

Functional Skill Required:

• Strong Passion about sports and uncompromising integrity.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and always take initiative.
• Solid understanding about Nike and Jordan Products.
• Good understanding of sports industry in China, good knowledge of basketball is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, relationship skills.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Strong time management skills and has the willingness to travel or work during weekend or holidays when necessary (due to nature of SM industry & competitions).
• Excellent skills in research and Microsoft word, excel and Power Point/Keynotes.
• Proven communication and orientation based in critical thinking, problem solving skills, especially under multi-tasking pressure. Ability to manage change.

Experience Required:

• 2-4 years working experience in sports industry or Sports Management working experiences in leading industry entity, basketball category is preferred.
• Client service oriented or CBA related working area career background preferred.
• Beijing based preferred.
• Bachelor degree, master degree preferred
• Overseas study or working experience preferred
• Student athlete or athletic background preferred (especially in basketball)
