Support Apple’s supply chain through the lens of an accountant: See how our products move through the supply chain network from procurement, production to distribution. What then happens if customer units are sent in for repairs? Here’s where Apple Care supply chain comes into play. This role in Apple’s Global Business Solutions (GBS) Record to Report (R2R) team managing both Finished Goods and Service Parts inventory accounting activities for Greater China and Asia Pacific regions will grant you insights into the world of Supply Chain. We are looking for someone with strong analytical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills.

Description

Manage US GAAP and Local GAAP statutory close process for supply chain, including regular monitoring of inventory costs, accounting entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and financial reporting. Play an active role in ensuring completion and successful implementation of projects, making recommendations as necessary to support business operations and expansion. Where necessary, influence business partners to ensure processes comply with accounting standards and relevant local regulations. Drive process and efficiency improvements through innovation. Collaborate with regional and global teams to establish and implement consistent and effective processes globally. Review and interpret data trends to support financial accounting decisions. Engage with stakeholders as a subject matter expert. Assist them to work through complex and ad hoc accounting matters, answer questions and provide valuable feedback.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance related major with at least 3 years of working experience
Proficiency in English and Chinese

• Technical skills and experience in US GAAP and Local GAAP accounting standards
• Team player with ability to manage across multiple geographies and cultures
• Mature, responsible, self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with intellectual curiosity and a passion for business process excellence
• Customer-oriented with excellent inter-personal and communication skills
