About the Role: We are looking for a Textile Development Engineer to join our Fabrics R&D Team. In this role, you will work with global cross functional team and Asia Pacific textile manufacturers to drive new textile and laminate fabric development from concept through commercialization.

This role will be located in our facility in Shenzhen, China.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor or advanced degree, major in textile related areas fields with minimum of 7 years solid work experience on new textile development and synthetic fibers (recycled & virgin nylon, polyester, sustainable textiles etc)
  
• In–depth knowledge of fiber & yarn, weaving & knitting, dyeing & finishing, inspection
  
• Good project management skills including ability to communicate with cross-functional teams, multi-task, prioritize and deliver result
  
• Self-motivated and self-directed, comfortable working in a rapid paced environment
  
• Excellent communication in both English and Mandarin (Written and Verbal)
  
• Ability to identify technical uncertainties, propose resolving hypothesis and build plans to verify
• Ability to travel in Asia up to 10%
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in coordinating multiple vendors and developing strong relationship with them
  
• Experience in Statistical tools, example of Do E, validation etc
