Role Summary:
As a Building Management Systems Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and overseeing the automation of building management systems for our large-scale greenfield project. Your extensive experience and technical prowess in BMS, combined with a sharp understanding of the pharmaceutical industry's regulations, will ensure the delivery of resilient and compliant automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, installation, and configuration of BMS automation systems, with a focus on Honeywell and Siemens platforms.
- Drive integration efforts to ensure harmonious operation across various automation technologies.
- Spearhead automation strategies for greenfield projects with substantial budgets, prioritizing effectiveness and scalability.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee project objectives are met within timelines and budgets.
- Uphold stringent industry standards, including GMP compliance, throughout all stages of project development.
- Maintain vigilant oversight of projects, from the initial concept phase through to the successful deployment of full-scale production.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in BMS and automation engineering.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in automation or systems engineering are highly desirable.
- Demonstrable expertise with Honeywell and Siemens BMS platforms, particularly within the pharmaceutical or medical technology sectors.
- A solid history of managing and executing greenfield projects with budgets over $100 million.
- Experience with startup environments or intricate medical technology projects is preferred.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of configuration management and automation testing practices.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with the Costa Rican medtech landscape and the capability to navigate both local and international regulatory requirements.
Tools and Technologies:
- Proficiency with BMS software and tools, particularly those developed by Honeywell and Siemens.
- Experience with automation testing frameworks and configuration management tools.
- Comfortable using project management software and collaboration tools to maintain communication and workflow with team members.
