The Opportunity

We are currently searching for a Product & Procurement Manager for the Americas (North, Central, and South America) to join our team, from our office in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Product & Procurement Manager independently builds, manages, and continuously refines the travel experiences we offer to our guests in the Americas to support business growth and achieve high guest satisfaction.
This position does not involve managerial responsibilities.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design, lead, and optimize the travel experiences offered in the Americas, consistently improving our product portfolio to support growth and guest happiness.
• Identify and understand the emerging needs of target guest segments and conduct detailed market analysis to stay competitive.
• Lead and supervise the product and pricing setup in our systems, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and competitiveness.
• Select, negotiate, and handle relationships with suppliers and partners, ensuring that our standards for quality and service are met.
• Drive negotiations to secure advantageous rates and special offers, facilitating mutually helpful partnerships.
• Set performance expectations with partners, implement performance tracking, and provide actionable feedback to address any gaps proactively.
• Regularly assess and improve product offerings based on market feedback, emerging trends, and competition analysis.
• In the future, lead expansion efforts into new markets within the Americas and potentially other regions worldwide.

What We Are Looking For:

• 5+ years of Product Management or Procurement experience in the tourism industry, ideally with an international tour operator.
• Deep understanding of discerning travelers from Europe and North America and extensive knowledge of travel destinations across the Americas.
• Proficiency in procurement activities, including leading tenders, negotiating supplier agreements, drafting contracts, and analyzing rate trends.
• Strong analytical abilities and business savvy, with the capability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
• Passion for crafting memorable travel experiences and a dedication to outstanding customer journeys.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. Empathy, assertiveness, listening skills, negotiation, presentation, and ideally, content writing skills are important.
