About the role:
We are seeking an Order Taker for the In-Room Dining (IRD) department in a luxury environment. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and professionally handling guest orders, ensuring an exceptional experience from order placement to final delivery. This position is a key part of the IRD team, reporting directly to the IRD Supervisor.

What you will do:

• Receive and process guest orders with accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide menu recommendations and respond to questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and delivery times.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Follow up with guests to ensure their satisfaction with the service received.
• Handle payments and invoices with precision and professionalism.

What you bring:

• One to two years of previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry, preferably in a luxury environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in an organized manner in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Positive attitude and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Availability to start in late October 2024.
• Food Handling Certificate.
• Proficiency in English
• Must be legally eligible to work in Costa Rica; we are looking for dedicated and service-oriented individuals.
