About the role:
We are seeking an Order Taker for the In-Room Dining (IRD) department in a luxury environment. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and professionally handling guest orders, ensuring an exceptional experience from order placement to final delivery. This position is a key part of the IRD team, reporting directly to the IRD Supervisor.

About the role:
We are seeking an Order Taker for the In-Room Dining (IRD) department in a luxury environment. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and professionally handling guest orders, ensuring an exceptional experience from order placement to final delivery. This position is a key part of the IRD team, reporting directly to the IRD Supervisor.
What you will do:
- Receive and process guest orders with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide menu recommendations and respond to questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and delivery times.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Follow up with guests to ensure their satisfaction with the service received.
- Handle payments and invoices with precision and professionalism.
What you bring:
- One to two years of previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in an organized manner in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Positive attitude and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Availability to start in late October 2024.
- Food Handling Certificate.
- Proficiency in English
- Must be legally eligible to work in Costa Rica; we are looking for dedicated and service-oriented individuals.
