This is a reduced-time, temporary, non-virtual internship position based in San Jose, Costa Rica.

This role is designed exclusively for university bachelor's degree students currently enrolled in Computer Science or related field, and have not yet graduated.

Interns at Amazon Costa Rica work 6-hour shift per day, totaling 30-hours per week.

As an intern, selected candidate(s) will be matched to a manager and a mentor, and will have the opportunity to have an impact on the evolution of Amazon technology and help with critical business projects early in their careers. Our team of interns' design, code, and raw smarts will contribute to solving complex technical challenges in the areas of distributed systems, data mining, automation, optimization, scalability, and security.

Software Development Engineering internships at Amazon are based on writing software code and collaborating with a team of tenured Software Development Engineers (SDEs) who guide project deliverables that matter to our customers. In addition to working on an impactful projects, interns will have the opportunity to engage with other Amazon employees on both personal and professional growth, expand their network, and participate in activities throughout their internship.
Interns are provided with all proper tools to own their projects and learn in a real-world setting.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor in Mexico geographic markets. The base pay for this entry-level, reduced-time, temporary position ranges from CRC 500,000 to CRC 550,000 colones per month.

A day in the life
Selected interns must be available 6 hours per day within a 9:00am to 6:00pm window, from Monday through Friday.
