GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Contract: full time, temporary (until Oct 31, 2025)

Global Services EMEA is the Johnson & Johnson Shared Service Center in Europe, delivering compliant financial services to J&J affiliates across the EMEA region.
We are recruiting a General Ledger Accountant who will be part of one of the Finance Teams within Med Tech Financial Services scope.

The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:

• CFIN Testing and implementation - data analysis and corrections of discrepancies between systems, UAT testing, validation and simulation of preproduction data, completion of close simulation.
• Prepare day-to-day general ledger activities, including journal entries, clearings, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Monitor the General Ledger accounts in its responsibility and keep the balances up to date
• Execute timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
• SOX control preparation and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Senior General Accountant to ensure proper recording and classification of financial transactions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data integrity.
• Stay up to date with accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and implement process improvements
• Provide timely responses to stakeholders or team requests
• Independently review and post vendor invoices
• Participate in Shared Finance projects (Ex: Signifi)
• Review and update process controls and procedures in collaboration with Senior General Ledger accountant
• Ensure documentation is in place and consistent execution of processes.
• Ad-hoc reports preparation

Qualifications

We would love to hear from YOU, if you have:

• University/Bachelors’ Degree or Equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, previous SAP experience
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Strong teamwork collaboration in a virtual/remote environment
• Excellent communication & business partnering skills
• Proven ability to work with people at all management levels
• Strong team player
• Highly computer literate, experience with ERP systems and Microsoft packages.
• Stress resistance, flexibility and sense of priority to handle tasks and deadlines
• Ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations
• Proactivity: ability to look ahead and anticipate
