AR ACCOUNTANT – MATERNITY COVER

HAY is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage diverse bookkeeping responsibilities and maintain an up-to-date accounts receivable and bank accounts. You'll join a fast-growing international company that combines ambitious vision with a collaborative and humble approach to daily operations. As part of our 18-member finance team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our financial processes, based out of our office by the harbor edge in Horsens. This is a full-time maternity cover, running from 1 January 2025, or as soon as possible hereafter, and until 30 September 2025.

About the job

As an AR Accountant at HAY, you will refer directly to our Head of Business Development, Risk & Accountant, and in collaboration with colleagues in the finance department, you will handle traditional bookkeeping tasks, which consist of:

Accounts receivables tasks mainly cover…
- Posting, approval and reconciliation of cash transactions
- Follow up on and reconciling debtor accounts
- Invoicing and approving credit memos
- Responding to both internal and external request
Secondary tasks mainly cover…
- Debt collection (English is required)
- Risk management (blocking customers, risk assessment)
- Payments and withdrawals
- Various reconciliations
- Changes to customer creations
- VAT checks

Role expectations

Experience required

We expect that you are an experienced accountant specifically with handling accounts receivables preferably across different countries, segments and cultures
Since we are an international organization with headquarter in Denmark, we expect you to be fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English
It is a plus, if you have experience with Dynamics 365
