Associate Manager for Drug Product Maintenance

About the position
You will get the overall responsibility and authority to deliver value to our customers, including people and process management, safety and quality compliance, continuous improvement and supporting of planning activities. You will lead a team of 7 employees to achieve the expected results in terms of efficient technical support and maintenance of our Drug Product area. Additionally, daily management of the DP Maintenance team is part of your job which also includes coordination of activities with cross functional teams.
Besides this, you will be part of a leadership team in Drug Product (DP) & Finished Goods (FG) maintenance, currently consisting of 3 leaders. Furthermore, you will also be part of the site engineering extended leadership team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operations
  • Ensure timely and efficient technical support and maintenance of the DP equipment at shop floor
  • Follow up on DP equipment issues together with relevant parties in the organization
  • Responsible for timely and sufficient communication to relevant parties in case of a breakdown or another critical issue at one of the production lines
  • Come up with improvement ideas together with the team, work with relevant parties to implement optimizations as part of the daily work
  • Work closely with the equipment engineers in the Manufacturing science and technology team to support various projects on the equipment. This could vary from smaller optimizations to larger investments projects.
  • Act as a natural partner for the production team in the daily work at and around the shop floor

Professional and Personal Qualifications
  • You hold an academic degree within Pharma, engineering, etc.
  • Experience from a biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • As we are a biopharmaceutical company, our processes take place in a GMP regulated environment. Therefore, we expect you to have interest and knowledge of GMP and understands the requirements in a c GMP for Annex 1.
  • As English is our corporate language, you have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
The position requires a manager with experience in both people management and the technical areas of production. You are not expected to be an expert in each area, but you must be able to act as a sparring partner for your team on the various subjects. Furthermore, experience with or professional training related to operational excellence and LEAN methodologies is an advantage.

About the Drug Product Maintenance (DP Maintenance) Team
The DP Maintenance team is a part of the Technical Operations and maintenance (TOM) Organization at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies´ site in Denmark. We are responsible for continuous operation and maintenance of all the drug product machines/equipment.
In the team we are currently 8 employees on dayshift. The common denominator of the teams is the acknowledgement and development of every employee and the diversity of the employees, who have different experiences and educational backgrounds, but collaborate closely on getting our medicine safely and quickly to the market.
