At the LEGO Foundation, we are searching for a Communications Specialist to join our experienced Communication, Advocacy & Partnerships Team. Working in close collaboration with colleagues across the Foundation, the wider LEGO ecosystem, and our partner organisations, you will be driving the creation of compelling content for the LEGO Foundation’s internal and external channels to enable us to achieve our communications and advocacy goals and promote learning through play.
As our new Communications Specialist, you will report directly to the Head of Communication, Advocacy & Partnerships.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Collaborate with partner organisations and teams across the LEGO Foundation to deliver impactful, high-quality, and brand-consistent stories across media about the Foundation and our many partners around the globe.
- Amplify impact, build brand awareness, and promote learning through play through captivating storytelling.
- Train and collaborate with colleagues at all levels to foster a storytelling mindset within the Foundation and act as advisor to colleagues primarily on visual communication matters.
- Provide support for the ongoing development of our channels incl. our website, social media, and internal channels.
- Contribute to the Foundation’s wider communications work, including PR and external media contact.

Work Experience & Education:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or relevant fields.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience of creating compelling content across media, incl. video, audio, text and graphics.
- Documented experience in production planning and execution.
- Documented experience in innovative format development.
- Proficiency in content development and creation with a high level of cultural sensitivity.
- Understands the basics of branding and corporate communications.
- Highly developed collaborative skills and a true team player mindset.
- Sound personal values, sense of humility and a strong moral compass allowing you to connect with children and adults across cultures, geographies and social backgrounds.
- Self-starter who finds motivation in high priority, large scale initiatives and is equally enthusiastic about hands on, everyday delivery for the Foundation’s channels.
- Strong can-do attitude and personal drive.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Confident using video and audio editing tools and ideally additional design tools.
- Fluent in writing and speaking in English. Additional language proficiency in Danish and Spanish is an advantage.
The position is based in Billund, Denmark, at the headquarters of the LEGO Foundation and the LEGO Group. No relocation support will be offered. Shortlisting and interviews will be held on ongoing basis. This advert will be removed when we have suitable candidates.
