The position
In this role you will be responsible for a team of Strategy Partners who deliver timely planning and proper execution of projects to the broader Research and Early Development area. You will set direction, develop skills set, coach and guide members of the Strategy and Portfolio Management teams to fulfil project goals, and apply corrective actions when necessary.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Providing leadership and managing major and high complexity projects.
Defining and executing strategies while considering alternative project strategies.
Communicating and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders across business levels.
Developing skills, coach, and guide members of the Strategy and Portfolio Management teams, encouraging cross-functional cooperation.
Ensuring timely planning and proper execution of projects initiated by senior management.

Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we would expect you to have:

Business acumen driving strategy planning and execution in a large matrix organization in the pharma, life science, or biotech industry.
Proven experience in early research and drug discovery.
Deep understanding of technology, digital science and AI applied to the R&D value chain.
Solid people leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

About the department
You will join a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to driving digital transformation within Novo Nordisk. The Strategy and Portfolio Management department supports the larger R&ED organization to cope and adapt to technology driven transformation, going from strategy to execution and implementation. Our goal is to assess emerging trends, technologies, and potential digital business opportunities to drive innovation and ultimately redefine drug discovery.
