Energy Trading Project Manager – Consulting

- Project Management: Plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, monitor progress, and report on project status.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, and clients. Ensure effective communication and coordination among all parties.
- ETRM System Implementation: Lead the implementation and integration of ETRM software, including requirement gathering, configuration, development, testing, and deployment. Ensure the system meets business requirements and industry standards.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with ETRM projects. Develop risk management strategies and maintain a risk register.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Oversee testing processes, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Change Management: Develop and implement change management plans to ensure smooth transitions during system implementation and upgrades. Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets. Monitor expenditures and ensure projects are delivered within the agreed financial parameters.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular project status reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and financial reports. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and post-implementation reviews.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project success. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management and ETRM system implementation.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on ETRM or related fields
- Certifications: PMP, Prince2, or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of energy markets, trading strategies, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with any ETRM solutions and digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of ETRM systems (e.g., Open Link, Allegro, Endur, Triple Point, etc.) and their implementation. Familiarity with energy trading and risk management processes.
