As the Head of Global Sales and Promotion (SLP) at MAN Energy Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our global operations, directly overseeing a team of 20 in Denmark and 46 across international markets, with a total of 65 professionals under your leadership. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of maritime engineering while ensuring MAN Energy Solutions remains at the forefront of sustainable and innovative propulsion technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Our department is responsible for driving the global sales and promotion activities for MAN Energy Solutions’ Two-stroke and Four-stroke smallbore engines. We are a dedicated team that values collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking. Our culture is built on mutual respect, continuous learning, and a shared commitment to achieving our goals.
What can you expect from us:
You will be part of the Two Stroke leadership team responsible for the overall strategy and continuous improvement. You will have a unique opportunity to develop global leadership skills and learn how to lead effectively in a matrix organization. This position will provide you with the most extensive global network within key decision makers in the maritime industry.
To a large extent you will be able to plan and influence your daily work and global activities, however you should expect engage with external stakeholders visiting Copenhagen and additionally expect between 40-80 travelling days annually.

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of maritime engineering while ensuring MAN Energy Solutions remains at the forefront of sustainable and innovative propulsion technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the market share of our two-stroke engines, small-bore four-stroke gensets and licensed built propulsion engines, while also promoting a diverse range of MAN Energy Solutions’ products, including turbochargers, EGR Turbo Blowers, and SCR solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Aligning the global value chain will be critical to our success. You will regularly engage with ship designers, engine builders, shipyards, and shipbrokers to influence decision-making processes, particularly in navigating future regulations that support the transition to a zero-carbon maritime industry.
- Team Leadership: Together with our regional leadership teams you will lead the global two-stroke sales organization (IGCs), comprising approximately 45 individuals, ensuring the effective promotion of our two-stroke solutions to key maritime stakeholders.
- Commercial Strategy: A key part of your role will involve negotiating, granting discounts, and offering financial incentives to licensees and shipowners to secure MAN Energy Solutions’ products for new shipbuilding projects with the goal of always maximizing the total benefits for our company
- Market Introduction and Product Development: With final authority over the introduction of new products to the market, you will work closely with Engineering, R&D, and other internal departments to provide valuable market feedback, ensuring our products meet evolving customer and industry needs.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: You will gather and analyze market data to inform ongoing updates to our engine program, preparing business cases for review by the Two Stroke Management team.
- Hold a BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent academic or mercantile education.
- Have more than 15 years’ experience in a maritime-related business environment, including a period overseas.
- (Possess a deep technical understanding of MAN Energy Solutions’ offerings and customers’ technical needs.)
- Have an extensive network among ship owners, shipyards, licensees, and relevant industry stakeholders. Global network within MAN Energy Solutions at ML1-3 level and selected companies within the VW group globally.
- Are experienced in complex negotiations and decision-making with multiple stakeholders both externally and internally.
- Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the maritime market, including decarbonization trends and technologies offered by MAN Energy Solutions and competitors. Intercultural experience from long-lasting business relations, particularly in Asia.
