Freelance Programmer for Camera Plugin Development

Raw Power Games is looking for a talented Freelance Programmer to support us on a contract basis starting asap. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our team to develop a custom camera plugin for our game that works with Unreal Engine 5, enhancing in-game visual experiences and user-friendly for players, content creators and marketing teams of all experience levels.

What You’ll Do:

Collaborate with our in-house departments to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Design, develop, and implement a versatile camera plugin
Ensure the plugin is user-friendly for players, content creators and marketing teams of all experience levels
Ensure it is well optimized, and compatible with our game engine version.
Test and debug the camera plugin to ensure smooth performance.
Provide technical support and updates as needed, ensuring the plugin stays up to date with game and engine updates.
Create easy to follow documentation of the plugin
Regular Google meet calls to share progress and get feedback on your
deliveries.

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of experience as a professional C++ Engineer, preferably within the video game industry, with a proven track record of successful client- based work.
Proven experience in game development, particularly in developing plugins or tools.
Familiar with Unreal Engine’s interface, Actor, Pawn, and Camera systems.
Strong Experience using Blueprints and C++ for game development.
Experience with writing C++ interfaces that can be exposed/used through
blueprint
Capable of setting up key bindings and handling mouse/keyboard inputs
Experience creating value editing user-facing interfaces
Excellent communication skills to effectively work with non-technical team members and understand their vision, provide and ask for regular feedback during implementation
Ability to deliver high-quality work within a specified timeline.
Familiarity with marketing needs in the gaming industry and creating promotional content.
