Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to oversee all financial operations across the Scandinavia region (Sweden, Denmark, Norway), and ensure that we use capital and resources beneficially.
Reporting to the VP, Group Finance and part of the Scandinavian Leadership Team, the Head of Finance Scandinavia responsibilities include overseeing the financial operation of the region. The primary role includes managing the financial health of the region and increasing profitability in the long run for the region of the three legal entities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting decision-making by providing financial insights.

Key responsibilities:


Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis:

• Lead regional monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Lead the financial forecasting process across the region
• Conduct profit/loss, cost, and variance analyses to drive decision-making
• Optimize and automate financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely and effective ways of working across the regional finance operation

Budgeting and Cost Management:

• Lead the creation and management of the region’s annual budget, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives
• Monitor expenditures, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to budgets

Treasury and Cash Flow Management:

• Oversee cash flow, ensuring that the company maintains adequate liquidity to meet its obligations
• Optimize working capital to improve financial flexibility

Investment & Risk Management:

• Assess and manage financial risks, including currency fluctuations, credit risks, and investment risks
• Ensure compliance with financial laws, tax regulations, and internal controls

Team Leadership:

• Supervise, mentor and develop a team of finance professionals in the region
• Foster a high-performance culture that encourages innovation and operational excellence

Financial Compliance & Security:

• Ensure all accounting, reporting, and internal audits comply with local regulations and international standards
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and compliance
• Develop and implement secure financial procedures to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information

Stakeholder Communication:

• Provide financial insights and reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company-wide financial initiatives
• Regional Leadership Team work

Areas that will help you to stand out:

• Proven work experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Director, or in a similar leadership role
• In-depth understanding accounting principles and cash flow management
• Hands-on experience with accounting, budgeting and risk management
• Excellent knowledge of financial data analysis and forecasting models
• Strong leadership skills and experience from leading and managing finance teams
• Solid analytical, strategic and decision-making abilities
• Full proficiency in English and either Swedish or Danish
BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field. MSc/MBA and/or relevant certifications (e.g. CFA/CPA) are seen as a benefit
