About the Job
You will be joining the Finance & Controlling team, where we help the decision-makers at Blue Power Partners by providing accurate and timely information. We work closely with the business to offer valuable insights and ensure everything stays on track. Our goal is to create solutions that grow with the company. Right now, the team consists of eight full-time employees and one student assistant based in Denmark.The company consists of thirteen entities spread worldwide and has 350+ employees.
As the Payroll Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries. In Denmark, you will oversee the entire payroll process, while for our international entities, you will collaborate closely with external providers who support our accounting and payroll functions. Although this role doesn't have direct reports, you will have the opportunity to take charge of the payroll area and drive its operations forward.
Here’s an overview of some of the responsibilities you will take on in your everyday:
- Act as the primary contact for employee payroll inquiries, ensuring accurate payroll processing, reporting, and data maintenance.
- Manage comprehensive payroll tasks in Denmark, including 3-pin reconciliation between salary, finance, and e-Income; oversee parental leave plans, illness reimbursements, and pension and health insurance provider updates.
- Oversee payroll system updates for new hires, resignations, and data corrections; support tax and social security compliance for international placements.
- Prepare and verify variable salary components (e.g., mileage, expenses, holidays, long-term illness) for payroll runs and conduct thorough reviews of payslips and variance explanations.
- Coordinate payroll deadlines across countries.
- Contribute to HR projects and drive internal process improvements.

You are naturally organized and analytical, with a practical and thoughtful approach to your work. You adapt easily to changing needs and enjoy finding practical solutions. - A strong understanding of the importance of accurate and timely salary, ensuring compliance with legislation, local agreements, and internal company policies.
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within an international company.
- Experience working in MS Office, including Excel.
- Understanding the connection between payroll processing and bookkeeping.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and Danish, both in written and oral
