Portfolio Transformation Manager

Job Description:
Objective
Support the transformation of a large program into a portfolio, focusing on a selective set of processes. The current program has been running successfully for 2 years and is managed by a Program Manager (VP), supported by a VA PMO consisting of an OKR Lead, a Finance Manager & Business Analyst, an OCM Lead, 2 OCM and Communications professionals, and a VA PMO Lead.
Deliveries
Identify (in collaboration with programme management), describe (process), and operationalize (tools and templates - excluding anchoring) changes to the current program setup to transform it into a portfolio, specifically focusing on the following (other PMO disciplines are revised by current staff):

Portfolio heartbeat including meetings, reporting, escalations, and decisions flow

Portfolio inflow including entry and potentially exit criteria

Change management
-
Risk / issue and dependency management
Their design principles

Simplicity – implementing the minimum necessary to operate the portfolio and maintain control

Reuse and adaptation of our client´s best practices wherever possible

Portfolio setup based on agile principles while being method agnostic (initiatives are allowed to operate as they see fit if they adhere to the interface defined by the portfolio office)

Required skills:

Working as a project manager or portfolio manager

Establishing best practices within project, programme, or portfolio management

Working independently, guided by programme management
