Project Planner

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will have a meaningful role in electrical substation projects within offshore wind and energy transmission sector.
Your involvement in the project is through the entire execution phase until the projects are handed over to Services (Operations)/Clients.
In Siemens Energy, projects could last from one to several years and you will be the Planner for one or more projects depending on the complexity and volume of the projects.
A project team usually consists of project managers, technical project managers, contract managers, QHSE managers, project commercial controllers, document controller, engineers etc. who are either located in Denmark or globally in different Siemens Energy entities. Besides the project team, you will be part of our PMO and Quality team.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Structuring of project scope by defining its WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
• Scheduling of project deliverables based on customers’ contractual documents, subcontractors’ delivery dates, labor loads and internal procedures.
• Plan and implement project resources and generate relevant S-curves and histograms.
• Updating of forecasts, scenario investigation and perform analysis of actual versus planned progress.
• Supervising and controlling of resource use and project deliverables.
• Direct communication with customers, subcontractors, and team members to support and maintain the overall schedule, to provide schedule updates, analyse issues and resolve specific mitigation plans needed to maintain project achievements.
• Preparation and presentation of decision-making material for Senior Project Management and Customer.
• Support with improvement initiatives and development plans.

What You'll Bring.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, project management, business administration or similar.
• shown experience in project planning of high voltage or large-scale construction projects.
• Proficient in working with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Having sophisticated IT skills and knowledge of MS Office tools i.e. Visio, Excel, Word, Power Point. Previous experience in ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) and Power Bi is consider as an advantage.
• Customer focused and motivated to work across different cultures in an international environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for co-working with colleagues and collaborators with various professional backgrounds.
• Mastering the English language. Other languages are considered as an advantage.
• PMP-SP or similar IPMA certification is considered as an advantage.
• Comfortable handling projects in parallel.
