The position

As a M&A Financial Advisor your main responsibility is to provide accounting and financial input associated with business development projects and acquisitions. Main responsibilities are:

Assess the accounting treatment of business development projects and acquired companies
Drive the preparation of purchase price allocations in line with applicable accounting standards
Endorse and provide input to the financial modelling based on due diligence findings etc.
Bring recommendations and advice to senior stakeholders during the financial due diligence process in partnership with advisors
Ensure proper handover to financial integration teams

You will work closely together with stakeholders from business development, business finance, tax, legal and other senior stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to develop best practice tools and processes for accounting and financial valuation of future business acquisitions.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

A master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or similar
Strong accounting acumen and optimally proficiency in IFRS 3 and IFRS 13
Experience from valuation of businesses and PPA modelling
Ideally, 2-3 years of experience working on the buyer’s side in acquisition of businesses, either in an acquiring company or as a M&A consultant
Experience working in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry would be a benefit but is not mandatory

About the department

As a M&A Financial Advisor, you will be reporting to the Head of M&A accounting and be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering high-quality financial advice to senior stakeholders. The M&A Accounting team is part of a broader department “Consolidated Reporting” which consist of 30 professionals in 5 teams, responsible for consolidation, ESG- and financial reporting, driving strategic finance projects as well as internal controls. The Consolidated Reporting department is a vibrant, collaborative, and international environment with an informal atmosphere that focuses on collaboration and open and honest communication.
