Behind the title
As a Technical Product Owner at Novo Nordisk, you will be working on the Heimdall plat-form our internal software engineering platform, supporting multiple development teams across business areas. You will be responsible for preparing and driving the product vision, roadmap, backlog stakeholder management and prioritization.
Additionally, your responsibilities include:
- Being the Product Owner of one or more teams of highly technical platform engi-neers responsible for products in Heimdall platform. This could be our Observabil-ity platform based on Grafana and Open Telemetry. Another product is our Cross plane based control plane to orchestrate applications and infrastructure.
- Driving development of platform features and capabilities with engineering teams from the business
- Ensuring that your backlog is up to date with input from System Architects and Lo B stakeholders
- Managing a well-structured backlog that enables developers to easily navigate and consume a prioritized backlog with clear Definitions of Ready (Do R) and Defi-nitions of Done (Do D).
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand key drivers for deliveries to enable ongoing prioritization and content elaboration
- Clarifying and coordinating dependencies with other Product Owners, Product Man-agement, external stakeholders, and development teams
- Driving and contributing to change management related to new technologies & practices for cloud native software engineering
- Facilitating an involving and constructive dialogue with senior stakeholders to en-sure needed resources are available
Which competencies to bring?
To succeed in this role, we expect you tick most of the following:
- At least 5+ years of software development experience, with strong working exper-tise building large complex back-end systems with Docker, Kubernetes, C#, .NET, Go
- Strong experience being a Product Owner, with great skills in managing stakehold-ers, backlogs and building product roadmap.
- Experience in driving adoption and communicating platform value in collaboration with UX
- Experienced driving highly technical development teams. Bridging the business needs, the technical requirements, and the scalability to ensure we prioritize and develop the right things.
- Previous hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and/or AWS Cloud, especially around Paa S/Saa S service offering and Containers as a Service (Caa S)
- Ability to set direction and communicate a compelling purpose and vision with passion and urgency
- Previous experience with contributing to Open-Source Software would be beneficial
- Experience with backlog management in Azure Dev Ops
