Together on Nature - a project about nature education at children's level

'Together on Nature' is a project that aims to get more children out into nature, where they have to try their hand at various fun nature activities through play. This must be done in newly started nature patrols, where children aged three to twelve can "go to nature". The nature patrols create a community in and around nature. Here, the participants can make new friendships and experience nature with their own bodies when the nature patrol takes them through twelve selected activities that are part of the Children's Nature Canon.

The activities can be anything from making fires and building caves, to making art from natural materials or looking at the stars. Nature & Youth is a voluntary nationwide green association that works to create a connection between children, young people and nature. Our purpose is to promote children and young people's interest in and understanding of nature and the environment, as well as to lay the foundation for a lasting enjoyment of and respect for nature.

Together, we contribute to an ecologically sustainable development in the interaction between man, nature and culture. The individual nature patrol will either target the age group three to six years, six to nine years or nine to twelve years. As a volunteer, you will receive support and guidance from both the local and national Nature & Youth department, and you will become part of a national community of other enthusiasts. It is also possible to start a nature patrol with people you know - so if you know other people interested in nature and communication, bring them along and start your very own club!

You're not going to be alone, that has to be like mine be 3 volunteers per nature patrol. The task as a volunteer As a volunteer, you help organize the ten to twelve times the nature patrol meets - this can, for example, be every other Tuesday afternoon for approx. two hours. You help decide what needs to happen and which tasks you want to take on. Depending on your own interests and skills, you will be allowed to co-determine what the nature patrol has to do. You don't need to have any prerequisites other than wanting to do fun things in nature with a group of happy children.

Being a volunteer in the nature patrol is both for you who love the outdoors and outdoor activities, for you who know a lot about animals and plants, and for you who just think that nature is a wonderful place to be and who want to give their joy of nature further.
