The position
As a Specialist in Translational Molecular Imaging, you will support decision-making for molecular imaging biomarkers in early clinical development projects and design molecular imaging plans for preclinical projects. Our operational strategy is to conduct PET radiochemistry and molecular imaging studies through external academic and commercial partnerships. Therefore, a key element is to build and maintain a strong engagement with external networks to deliver molecular imaging solutions.
- Provide scientific knowledge for efforts to develop and validate novel, or utilize existing, imaging technologies to support the translational and clinical portfolio across the NN R&ED portfolio
- Provide technical and strategic advice to projects seeking to employ imaging
- Support imaging in research projects via internal resources and external collaborations to support Novo Nordisk drug projects within all indications
- Build and maintain a global external imaging network for Novo Nordisk
- Represent Novo Nordisk Translational Imaging internally and externally
To succeed and thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Ph D with 10+ years of extensive work experience in academia, biotech or industry
- Strong expertise in PET radiochemistry and running preclinical and clinical imaging studies from bench to clinic
- Expertise in MRI technologies and analyses
- Extensive experience in innovative molecular imaging technologies
- Prior experience in working with external collaborators (Imaging CROs)

Translational Imaging is a newly established department within the Translational Research VP area. The department underscores the commitment to expanding within imaging to support and de-risk projects across our portfolio. In Translational Research, we are committed to identifying biomarkers and generating high-quality biomarker data to guide decision-making in research & development.
