Give the young people three hours of your time every two weeks and watch them win! Become part of a team of ambitious and skilled volunteers whose task is to help young people from the North West to create their own business.
First of all, you must be passionate about strengthening the young people's belief in themselves and helping them create a solid foundation of learning, skills and networks for their further journey into adulthood - something that several of the young people lacked during their school days and upbringing.
N'Vest is an entrepreneurial project that puts young people and their wishes first. The project is for all young people, but has a particular focus on young people who have a hard time socially, have challenges at school or otherwise need practical learning, where the successes and progress are not long in coming. We meet about entrepreneurship and the desire to create something – both us as the rope holders, the volunteers, the teacher and the young people – and this is what must permeate the entire project and create a safe and educational community with great diversity.

We are looking for volunteers with all kinds of skills, experience and interest in entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, communication, HR and finance, technical skills, programming and much more and who want to bring it into play in a close interaction with us coordinators , the other volunteers and the young people.
You get a close relationship with the young people who depend on and trust your help and guidance during the months when you volunteer.

Amount of work:
The course lasts for 6 months from November 2024 to May 2025
2.5 hours every other week from 16.00-18.30 (odd weeks). At 16.00-18.00 you work with the boys and the half hour after is used for preparation and finishing with the other volunteers and the coordinators on site)
One or two weekend days.
Of course, we attach great importance to physical presence, as it provides a closer relationship with the young people, but it is possible to participate online if you do not have the opportunity to participate physically for periods of time.
You can offer your voluntary labor for parts of the period, but for the sake of the relationship with the young people, we allow ourselves to prioritize volunteers who can participate for the entire project period.
As the work involves young people, we obtain child and criminal records for all volunteers.

The framework for the project itself:
20-30 young people participate in an 8-month course. All the young people are interested in creating a business - either by themselves or together with a group of other young people. Together with a number of volunteers, the young people must create their own small business. The process for this, the success criteria and the end result will vary from company to company. Most important is the educational process, the small successes and the community along the way.
Every other week, the entire group receives workshop- and exercise-based training in, among other things, sales, service, marketing by a teacher from Copenhagen junior high school, and every other week they receive "one to one" guidance from a group of volunteers so that the young people can advance individually in the process they are in. The course is divided into two parts, which ensures that the young people have a good and respectful knowledge of each other and that they get some immediate common learning experience of success at the start of the project. The young people are therefore already well underway and are looking forward to being connected with a mentor in a few weeks.
